Community Services for Children
Community Services for Children (CSC), a Lehigh Valley nonprofit, has two very distinct audiences visiting its website: parents & guardians and providers & practitioners. It’s important that each knows how to navigate the site from first landing on the homepage to quickly and easily find the pertinent information needed.
Equally important: Communicate the vast impact CSC has across the Lehigh Valley, highlighting specific ways the organization is helping children in the community.
Challenges like these are all in a day’s work at KSA&D. “We really wanted the new cscinc.org site to be a seamless user experience that walked each audience through “their” part of the site easily and informatively,” says Peter Schurman, KSA&D principal. “At the same time, the rotating billboard on the home page shows how important CSC’s mission and results really are. Since this a non-profit heavily dependent on charitable contributions, the ‘Donate’ button is prominently featured on every page.”
And while we were at it, KSA&D also created and launched CSC’s LehighValleyCamps.com, a free directory of summer camps in the Lehigh Valley. Sara from CSC expressed her thanks in a big way, “If I haven’t told you already, a big thank you. You have captured the look we had in mind exactly.” We do take pride in going the extra mile to help kids.
Community Services for Children, Inc. was established in 1981 as the grantee for Head Start of the Lehigh Valley. Since then, CSC has added early Head Start, PreK Counts, Child Care Information Services, and other early education, scholarship and educational innovation organizations and programs. CSC positively affects the lives of an estimated 40,000 children a year in 18 Pennsylvania counties.
