Campaign: Workplace Fundraising

Long before KSA&D’s Leadership Recognition brochure for United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley won a Bronze Award at the 2008 Lehigh Valley ADDY® Awards competition, the agency created a family of materials to kick off the 2007 United Way fund-raising campaign.

The entire campaign was driven by its tagline – “Build a Better Community… Yes We Can!” – which created an emotional response that inspired the audience to give back to the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. The line’s positive tone also reinforced the feasibility of the campaign’s goal: funding United Way agencies and programs that promote strong families, school readiness and success, vital neighborhoods, and success for older adults.

To motivate people to donate, KSA&D designed these pieces using strong visual elements and creative writing. The underlying messages are: how beneficial these gifts are to the entire Lehigh Valley; and how significant each individual gift can be, regardless of the amount. The bottom line: the 2007 campaign was a clear success.
