KSA&D was given the challenge by Merck to produce well thought-out and informative, internal newsletters reaching employees within the boundaries of the Merck corporate policies and procedures. KSA&D successfully was able to establish the newsletter and and they have successfully sent out 10 newsletters over the past 2 years. Merck has full trust in KSA&D’s efforts to send out these newsletters and the results they will bring, that they entrusted KSA&D to utilize company hardware and infrastructure to be able to produce this content.
Using these newsletters to communicate to their employees on every cost, Merck presents ways to save energy, and new finds in the energy world. The newsletter contains stories about ways to be economically more efficient.
KSA&D had to “think creative” says Principal & co-owner Bob Kraemer “when finding a successful way to get employees to open and keep sharing the newsletters.” What’s unique about this newsletter is that it is only sent out internally and goes in stages. It is first sent out to genius members globally. From there the genius members forward the newsletter to the other employees in their offices, with the main goal of getting the entire company and their friends or family aware of the energy saving principles and practices being developed by Merck every day.
